Our friend had a successful company that needed to be better...
Komida started with a good friend and a successful specialty food company. Sharif Harb (Harb Chocolate Corp., Knoxville, TN), had been making incredible vegan peanut butter cups, peppermint patties, and more for a couple of years, and the product was really good, but he was having a hard time growing bigger than his fifty or so retail accounts nationwide. He was doing everything he needed to keep his business running, but he felt like he needed help in order to run his business better and grow.

Working together, we realized that not only was Sharif's accounting software imposing a structure on his business that limited his ability to run it the way he wanted to, but there was also a lot more on his "wish list" to help him manage his business better. Sharif wanted a flexible foundation for growth, and wanted a dedicated tool that would help him bring his business to the next level.
